Constipation is a very widespread difficulty for kids. For most offspring, constipation means difficulty having a bowel movement, i.e. passing hard poo, not like usual. A child is considered constipated when he or she has less than 3 bowel movements in a week. Idiopathic constipation is a state, where no specific sickness or infection is the source of a constipation in baby. Early recognition of constipation is very important to avoid associated chronic difficulty. Parents no need to be more concern about constipation as it is avoidable and can be treated with some healthy habits of life such as nourishing diet and sufficient physical activity.
Normally, constipation befalls when leftover or stool passes very slowly via the digestive tract, which causes the stool to turn out to be rigid and dried out. Several factors can trigger off constipation, which includes Early toilet training, changes in routine, diet variations, withholding, use of some medicines, health conditions, family history and allergy to cow’s milk. But as an average min of 3-4 glasses of water needed per day for school going kids. If your newborn is constipated for the period of the changeover from breastfeed to solid foods, serve a small amount of prune juice every day. If the constipation continues and it is making your infant suffering you have to consult your pediatrician as early as possible because it may be due to some other health problems.
Provide more fiber: Diet that is high in fiber like whole-grain bread, vegetables and fruits can aid put a stop to the constipation issue in kids. Fiber cannot be digested, so it supports flush out the stool from the intestine. Serve oatmeal, bananas, apples, oranges, popcorn and baked potatoes.
Physical activity: Exercise pushes the bowels into action, so encourage your broods and adolescents to get plenty of physical activities. It is very simple, let them involve in some outdoor games as a routine.
